🧭 RAR Islands Update 0.9.4

Hello, Explorer! ⛵️

It’s been just over a week since the release of RAR Islands and I couldn’t be happier with all the positive feedback you’ve shared (through Play Store reviews, Reddit, Discord, and even emails!) 💜

was half-expecting to need a quick “day-one patch,” but no major issues appeared, thanks to the incredible testers who helped polish the game before launch, especially @MrDaGrover, who tested tirelessly day and night 🙌

This week, amongst other things, I’ve been trying to answer everyone who reached out and I’m super grateful for all the bugs reported, ideas, suggestions… as well as your patience on me working on these things 😄

RAR II Update 1.3.0

Hello everyone!

It’s been a long time since I last published an update for RAR II (or since I wrote a post here 😅), I know…

…but here I am, finally publising RAR II’s version 1.3.0!

It’s not a big update, but it includes a few bug fixes and improvements suggested by some players, along with a (hopefully) nice surprise (check the last bullet point).

Without further ado:

  • Improving Unbreakable: Exiting a dungeon no longer triggers negative effects (such as hunger or weather conditions).
  • Fixed water step sounds outside of dungeons.
  • Added Gunpowder to the possible recipes to be found or bought.
  • Made it possible to buy race-specific recipes after ascending.
  • Checked several bugs that I couldn’t reproduce (e.g., selecting a race and wizard advantage can result in different spells each time you start a new game, or the issue with armor recipes greater than bronze appearing in shops).
  • Various minor fixes.
  • Added a new Island type! (Very low probability of appearing)

PS: Soon, I’ll try to write a post explaining why there haven’t been any updates about RAR III and share more details on another side project. Stay tuned! 😄

RAR II Update 1.2.6575

It’s been a while! 🤗

As some of you might now from some of my Discord or Reddit messages, in the last few months, I’ve been very focused on my main job and organising our Wedding party (which will happen in a week from now!). ☺️

That’s the main reason why I have been less active than usual (both for RAR II and RAR III development).

These last few days, I was able to squeeze in some time to code some bug-fixes for RAR II and I even added a couple of new features. 🤓

RAR II Update 1.2.5814

Hello!

A very tiny update for RAR II with a couple of bugfixes and a couple of changes for the first islands. 🚀

Changelog:

  • Fixed Equipment screen crash!
  • Fixing crafting tool weird usages left vs max usages.
  • Added keyboard arrows movement (in case you have a controller or keyboard attached to the phone, or you use some emulator from a computer to play the game).
  • Improved starting island generation of Spell Books (now you always should be able to find the Healing Touch Spell Book and the Capture Monster Spell Book in the first island).
  • Added a slight chance of finding the Almost Kill Spell Book on Magic Shops too.

RAR II Update 1.2.5729

Hello!

A small update for my little baby should be available soon. I’ve been able to find time during the last few weekends to try to fix most of the bugs I’ve been reported (probably some of them are already there, forgive me if that’s the case!).

Before listing the changes of this small new update, let me also share that I’ve started working on a prototype for my next big project/game. Still can’t share more details about it, until I have something more solid, but I can tell you this: I’m really excited about it! Expect more news about it soon! 😇
