Hello, Explorer! ⛵️

It’s been just over a week since the release of RAR Islands and I couldn’t be happier with all the positive feedback you’ve shared (through Play Store reviews, Reddit, Discord, and even emails!) 💜

was half-expecting to need a quick “day-one patch,” but no major issues appeared, thanks to the incredible testers who helped polish the game before launch, especially @MrDaGrover, who tested tirelessly day and night 🙌

This week, amongst other things, I’ve been trying to answer everyone who reached out and I’m super grateful for all the bugs reported, ideas, suggestions… as well as your patience on me working on these things 😄

This week, I’ve been replying to everyone who reached out and taking note of every bug report, idea, and suggestion. Thank you so much for your patience while I work through them! Some things take a bit longer, but I’ve packed as many improvements as possible into this first update, from accessibility and quality of life improvements to bug fixes and polishing.

Update 0.9.4#

  • 🚀 Improvements
    • Initial check for screen readers to auto-enable Accessibility Mode
    • Changed crafting recipe icons to display the actual items they create.
    • Display amount owned on the Craft Recipes list.
    • Minor dev adjustment: Wood Plank is always Tier 1
    • Added link to “Rate RAR” on the main menu (visible until used).
    • Added/removed some confirmation dialogs (e.g. Inn no longer showing confirmation dialog)
    • Added scrollbar to all lists (and a settings option to disable it)
    • Reviewed RNG for some Gatherables
    • Other minor improvements!
  • 🐛 Fixes
    • Fixed accessibility issue with the New Game item selector not reading properly
    • Fixed some gold related exploits
    • Fixed some scenarios where gold was not updating properly
    • Fixed missing Echo Chambers due to Forecasting Tool glitch
    • Fixed Water Bucket glitch when watering a certain thing…
    • Fixed Bar now only allows Batch Cooking if you have the proper Skill
    • Fixed Mentor-related issue
    • Corrected typos found so far
    • Other bugs fixed!
