Hello adventurer! 👋🏼

I hope you’re enjoying the start of December, wherever you are. Today, I wanted to share some updates with you—both “bad” and “good”—as well as some thoughts and projects I’ve been working on.

The “Bad” News

Let’s rip the bandage off: I haven’t been able to dedicate much time to RAR Islands over the past few months. Life, my full-time job, and other creative pursuits have taken priority lately.

One of these pursuits is my music. Some of you may know about my love for music alongside gaming. I composed the piano pieces for RAR I and RAR II, and years ago, I dabbled in electronic music, which you can still find on my SoundCloud. Recently, I’ve been recording songs I’ve written with my guitar, and I’m thrilled to share that I’m finally bringing these to life in a professional recording studio here in Barcelona!

I’ve already recorded 8 out of 10 tracks for my first album, which I hope to release on platforms like Spotify and YouTube. This has been a long-standing dream of mine, and I can’t wait to share it with you once it’s ready!

Of course, music isn’t the only reason progress on RAR Islands has slowed. My job and everyday life have also been demanding a lot of time and energy.

The “Good” News

I’ve been exploring the idea of taking a few months of unpaid leave from work to focus on finishing RAR Islands. The break would allow me to finally give this project the attention it deserves. While I can’t guarantee I’ll have time to work on RAR III just yet, my goal is to at least complete and release this spin-off.

Right now, I’m discussing the logistics with my company, and while it’s still in the planning phase, I’m aiming for around Q2 2025. If all goes well, I’ll dedicate roughly six months to fully focus on RAR Islands—similar to how I worked on RAR II before starting my current job.

A Closing Note

Thank you for your patience and support—it means a lot to me. I hope this post gives you a clearer picture of where things stand. And hey, if anyone out there wants to sponsor me with a few thousand euros to quit my job and work on this full-time, let’s talk! 🤣

See you soon, and stay tuned for more updates! 🙏🏻
